Hello and welcome to InDeepPoetry. This is a blog by a poliglot, haunted by poetry. I long to share the ebb and flow of verse, the thirst for Meaning there embedded, and the craft-material of Meaning: words.

The design of the blog is interactive: it allows you to translate a poem yourself or suggest other words for a given translation. Obviously, you can also just read and get also haunted with no further ado 🙂

And behold, what InDeepPoetry has to offer:

  1. under “My poems” and “Other Poets” – a main screen, showing a poem with its translation to three more languages
  2. under “Comments” – a space, where you can suggest translations
  3. under “Tools” – current suggestions, such as riming words and a private-dictionary section
  4. under “Idiom / phrase of the day” – things that happen to poems
  5. under “About” – not much
  6. under “Contact” – my addresses and poetry events I’ve participated in

Navigation for poems:

Select a poem and view the original language version. In the same screen you will see the poem in three other langagues.

The non-original language versions are, by design, either draft versions or even still blank spaces, where you can contribute your ideas. The space where you can do so is beneath the poems’ bars, where you’ll find a comment square.

Remember: this blog is an experimental space, essentially a pretext for kneading the dough. Therefore, the comment square is also available under a poem by a famous, classic poet 🙂

As the administrator of the blog I may decide to transfer suggested texts from the comments onto the language version bar. If I do so, I’ll include there the initials of the suggestion’s author.
